The (Un)Common Myna

Un-common-Myna.jpg

Acrylic on Canvas

The model for this bird came from an old black and white photo the artist found in his files from years ago. It had no identifying information. The artist's nephew, an ornithologist by profession, believes it may be a common myna, thus the name The (UN)Common Myna, as the colors may not be true to life. The stance is rather unusual. This is another experiment with interference and iridescent colors.
