Stone Bridge
Acrylic on Canvas
24" x 30"
c. 2012
Near the heart of Golden Gate Park is this lovely old stone bridge, which pedestrians can use to pass over Stow Lake to the little island known as Strawberry Hill. On mornings like this, when not a rowboat, paddleboat, or motorboat is passing over the surface of the lake and between the arches of the bridge, the fog mutes the landscape and all noise, save for the occasional sound of a bird.
The original is sold and in a private collection. This image is available as an open edition print on FineArtAmerica.com, with a number of other San Francisco images by Leonard.
