Acrylic on Canvas
36" x 24"
This painting was created in the early 1980's from a photograph taken by Leonard. It looks south down Columbus Street, just before Montgomery Street and just past Broadway. The triangular shaped building that is the focus was then owned by Francis Ford Coppola and Zoetrope Productions was located there. The 1913 building actually had many names during it's history: The Flatiron, Columbus Tower, Sentinel, Coppola's Cupola. Local referred to it as The Coppola Biilding. It was once owned by The Kingston Trio. The building behind was under construction. You can see the Pyramid Building on the left.
