Acrylic on Canvas
36" x 48"
Studies for this painting were done in the late 1980's, when the artist lived a few blocks from this location on the northwestern tip of San Francisco, beyond the Golden Gate. The area is called Sea Cliff and is in the Richmond District of the City. The view is from the Presidio. Today, the houses are different colors and some have been remodeled, the tress a bit taller, and there is more growth on the rocks, but it is basically unchanged after nearly 30 years. it still holds a magical beauty when the fog seeps in off the ocean and works its way through the trees and over the rocks.
The original is sold, but is available as a limited edition giclée print. Contact us for information.
